NSTX Editorial August 24, 2026

Tesla's Supercharger network added 22 new stations between August 17 and August 24, with twin travel plaza sites in Portage, Indiana and a 22-stall opening in Queens, New York headlining the week. New openings span the United States, the UK, Germany, Poland, Sweden, Norway, Iceland, and Austria. Track every new opening in real time with the Supercharger for Tesla app.

Tesla opened 22 Supercharger stations across the US and Europe between August 17 and August 24, with strong Midwest and California growth at home and seven European countries adding new sites.

United States — 14 Stations

Indiana headlined the week with twin openings at the Indiana Toll Road travel plazas in Portage — 8 stalls each at the George Ade and John T McCutcheon plazas, a milestone for I-90 travelers. California added three sites: 16 stalls in Fresno on W Clinton Ave, 16 stalls in Lake Forest on Rockfield Blvd, and 8 stalls in Pacific Palisades returning to service. New York's Queens location went live with a substantial 22 stalls on Springfield Blvd, while Princeton, New Jersey added 8 stalls. Virginia's Dumfries opened 12 stalls on the I-95 corridor, Panama City, Florida came online with 8 stalls, and Valdosta, Georgia added 8 stalls on N St Augustine Rd. Deer Lodge, Montana opened 8 stalls along I-90, and Oklahoma picked up three third-party sites — Francis Energy locations in Bartlesville and Elk City (4 stalls each) plus a 4-stall JINYA Ramen Bar site in Oklahoma City, continuing the growth of the Supercharger for Business program.

Europe — 8 Stations

Poland led Europe by stall count with 16 stalls in Szczecin, strengthening the Baltic corridor toward Germany. Germany's Chemnitz came online with 12 stalls in Saxony. The UK added two sites — 8 stalls in Ludlow and a 4-stall EV OTM location on Camberwell Road in London. Scandinavia delivered two openings with 8 stalls in Falköping, Sweden and 8 stalls at Halsøy in Mosjøen, Norway, while Iceland's Mosfellsbær added 4 stalls near Reykjavík. Austria rounded out the week with 8 stalls in Seefeld in Tirol, a popular Alpine resort stop.

With 22 new openings this week, network growth holds a strong pace as summer travel winds down. Stay up to date on every new Supercharger opening — and filter by country, power output, and availability — with the Supercharger for Tesla app, available for all EV brands on iOS and Android.
