Every Major Automaker Now Ships Cars with Tesla's NACS Charging Port

NSTX Editorial March 20, 2026

As of Q1 2026, every major automaker — from Ford and GM to Hyundai, VW, and Mercedes-Benz — has released at least one model with a native NACS port, giving them direct access to Tesla's Supercharger network.

The NACS (North American Charging Standard) adoption has reached a tipping point. As of Q1 2026, every major automaker has released at least one model with a native NACS (J3400) port, giving drivers direct access to Tesla's Supercharger network without adapters.

Automakers with NACS-equipped models:
- Ford: F-150 Lightning, Mustang Mach-E
- General Motors: Chevrolet Equinox EV, Blazer EV, Cadillac Lyriq
- Hyundai / Kia: Ioniq 5, Ioniq 6, EV6, EV9
- Volkswagen: 2026 ID.4 (with added Supercharger access and more power)
- Mercedes-Benz: EQS, EQE SUV
- BMW: iX, i5
- Rivian: R1S, R1T
- And many more

This means the Tesla Supercharger network is no longer just for Tesla drivers. With 75,000+ connectors worldwide, it has become the universal fast-charging standard in North America.

The Supercharger for Tesla app supports all EV brands. Whether you drive a Tesla, Ford, Hyundai, or any other EV, you can use the app to locate Superchargers, check availability, and plan your route.
