Suncoast Charging: The First Third-Party Network Operating Tesla Superchargers

NSTX Editorial March 15, 2026

Suncoast Charging has become the first third-party network to operate Tesla Supercharger hardware in the US, with 20 new sites planned for 2026 under Tesla's Supercharger for Business program.

In a significant development for the charging industry, Suncoast Charging has become the first third-party company in the United States to operate Tesla Supercharger hardware under Tesla's Supercharger for Business program.

Suncoast opened its first station in November 2025 and has announced plans to deploy 20 additional sites across the US in 2026. Meanwhile, Francis Energy has also joined the program, installing Superchargers in rural and underserved areas.

What this means for drivers:
- More Supercharger locations in areas Tesla hasn't built yet
- Same charging experience and speed as Tesla-owned stations
- Third-party stations appear in the Tesla app and navigation
- Compatible with all NACS-equipped vehicles

This business model allows local businesses — hotels, shopping centers, convenience stores — to install Tesla Supercharger hardware and operate it independently. It's similar to how gas stations work with fuel brands.

The Supercharger for Business program is expected to significantly accelerate network growth, especially in rural areas and smaller towns where Tesla hasn't prioritized building its own stations.

All third-party Supercharger stations are included in the Supercharger for Tesla app, so you'll always have the most complete picture of available charging options.
